El Vergel

The Bayter brothers are back with another banger.

At Cultura, we are particularly fond of Elias & Shady Bayter and the coffees they produce at Finca El Vergel.

They are often crazy & unique in processing and simultaneously fantastic in final profile. This is a tricky balance to exist within, and we appreciate them greatly for it.

People Possession have aptly nicknamed this coffee 'Guava Banana'. 

You can probably see where this is going.

Sometimes, names leave very little to the imagination.

Red & yellow caturra cherries have undergone anaerobic natural processing - there's definitely some added infusion 'funk' here, but admittedly we have no information from the farm itself to confirm this, so it remains a suspicion.

The result in the cup? Expect a profile reminding you of Guava, Banana, Milk Chocolate and Plum.
